Okay, so I'm a little inactive for the time being.  Currently backing up important files (2 years of photoshopping, pics, music, etc etc), and that's all being burnt onto a huge stack of CD's for now.  From now until then, I won't have access to FFXI or anything game-related, but I can access websites.  If anyone cares, well, I'll see you all soon~

Another BLU story~

So the past week or two, I forget..  long story short, there's this LS leader who's been abusing the rules.  There's a rule that he was abusing, and that's the inactive status rule.  If you miss 4 consecutive runs, you get put as inactive status and can't lot during the next 2-3 consecutive runs (after you come back that is).  Well, this guy purposely misses 3 runs, and comes back on the 4th run so that he gets prevented from being put on inactive.

It all started with me hitting BLU75 before the update in which BLU Relic came out.  This guy, Dahlen, was still leveling BLU.  Often would I hear from other endgame shell mates that he's been saying things about me (though Dahlen claims to be joking when I confront him), like "Mitsu's BLU sucks compared to mine, because he doesn't have sea", and other immature things like that.  Yet, this guy has like half of his BLU spells (I have all BUT sea spells).  Anyway, the very first run we did when the update came out, was on the actual day of our run (Monday night).  Our destination was Beaucidine, where the BLU body dropped.  Caitir, the resident BLU who's been doing Dynamis about the same time I was, had been coming to Dynamis every day, never asking for any relic or anything, so me and a lot of the LS mates agreed that we would let her get first dibs on all BLU.  And we did that.  BLU body dropped, and she gets it.  Grats~  I was hoping to get my BLU body as well, and sure enough, the Monday after we were doing Beaucidine again.  During this time, while on vent one day, I was on it just hanging out.  Dahlen was there, and a few others..  he makes a comment that went a little like this:

Dahlen:  "Hey so uh, we're doing Beaucidine on Monday right?  I need to hit 74 by Monday."

LS officer:  "Why do you need to hit 74 by Monday?" (this person dislikes Dahlen, like a few of us do)

Dahlen:  "Because if I get 74 by Monday, Mitsunari can't lot on BLU body because of the tier system."

I'm sitting here at my computer, thinking "I'm on Vent, and he says that crap basically to my face, in front of others..?"  So I throw a fit, but keep it to myself.  Monday comes and sure enough, BLU dropped, he gets it, and I just shake my head with no fusses.  The run after that, we do Xarc, BLU head drops.  He's clearly ahead of everyone, due to tier system, even Caitir, but he decides to be a gentleman for god-knows-why and let her lot on it.  I was off of vent at the time due to that grudge I was holding, and I got a tell from a friend that Dahlen made a comment about it, saying "Just as long as Mitsu doesn't get it" when he let Caitir lot and win the head. 

Effed up, right?  So let's fast-forward this story of mine.  Today, we did Dynamis-Bastok for the first time in a month or so.  BLU pants drop here.  Three candidates for BLU pants.  Lovely Caitir (I made a sig for her by the way, it's in my previous blog), fruitcake Dahlen, and myself.  BLU pants drop, my heart skips a beat, but I shake my head and pass before anyone said anything.  Caitir lots, a crappy lot at that, but I smile for her.  Dahlen then lots, and everyone's like "Oh, okay.  In ice, he'll be a gentleman for her, but when it comes to cities, he'll be an ass."  There was a small bicker (nothing big or serious), and for some reason Dahlen decided to pass on it (if he really wanted it, since he even lotted in the first place, why did he pass?).  Caitir gets it, I clap.  Down the road about an hour later..  this happens:

Third log~  a few things happened to me that were great in my eyes.  Over the course of time from my last log to this one, I managed to get N. Feet (not too worried about uncursing this yet), an Optical Hat (greatly benefits my DRG and BLU jobs), got more merit points (with the 'busy schedule' on FFXI, I was finally able to stop and merit for once), and..  even got a WightSlayer off the 3rd floor.  I'm still new to Nyzul, and already I got the weapon you usually get off Floor 100 >.>  Which leads me to a new topic.

Mythic Weapons.  They are really awesome, and I would LOVE to go at it and try to unlock Tizona, but after reading everything you need..  that's just WAY too much time and a LOT of effort.  I mean, you'd think the relic weapons took a lot of time, but no~  Mythic weapons take just as long.  You literally have to do devote so much time..  and not just to one thing.. MANY things.  Einherjer, Salvage, the killing of the beastmen leaders in the AU areas, 30k Alexandrite farming (or buying), among other things.  To be honest, I feel a bit too discouraged to even TRY for a Tizona.  Sure, I can unlock the weaponskill and spend less time doing that than getting Tizona..  but, I don't know.  I just feel as though I'm being taunted by SE.

In other news, I was promoted to a Dyna Leader in our end-game branch.  Exciting, sort of, but I enjoy it.  Being a Main Assist sure beats the hell out of just standing still waiting for orders.  Rather, I'm the one beating the crap out of things and giving orders.  8)

The story of my O. Hat?  One of my social officers, Kilic, who pretty much spoils me whenever he wants something (kind of like..  you do this for me, I'll get you this), told me he wanted to really get an O. Hat for himself, and that if I arranged a run, he'd buy me clusters to get my own.  So I was like, "why the hell not, apparently I need it too because BLU and DRG both greatly benefit from it", and thus I organized a pick-up-group run (PUG).  Got a total of 10 people..  9 in which who needed it, 1 in which was helping.  Well, we got there, spent a good I dunno, 4.5 hours farming?  In the middle of it, another party tried to come and interfere with our run (they wanted O. Hats too), but left out of courtousey (spelling?).  I didn't get mine until the 5th spawn, but that's okay.  But uh, as we got to the last one..  two people fell asleep.  We waited about 30 minutes before deciding to attempt to 8-man Hakutaku and..  after getting it to 10% HP, we died.  It made me really upset because this person who had to go last out of everyone, ended up not getting his O. Hat.  If we had just ONE of those people come back, we would've done just fine.  2 WHM, one of them fell asleep..  when it came down to it, we just simply had no more MP.  The other guy who fell asleep was a SAM.  Another DD would've helped just as much.  But, it wasa no-go.  That guy lost his pop item and a lot of us couldn't help but feel crappy.  Fortunately, he managed to farm the eyes with a few of our help and get his the next day with some friends of his.  =D

So I heard a story.  A PUG for Under Observation, BCNM40..  A friend of mine was in the trio, and well..  when it was his turn, PCC dropped for him!  Yay!  But then the leader booted him from the party and stole it..  Shitty, right?  One of the most effed-up things you could do, and this person did it.  And you know what sucks?  Not only did the person choose to STAY on the server rather than server hopping, they wear the PCC 'proudly' like they are king.  Makes me never want to do a PUG for things like that..  can't trust anyone.  What's even worse is, this person was in their social shell.  As a result, that person got kicked, but..  still exists u_u

Oh hey, the update~  My turn to talk about the update.  I love it.  Plain and simple.  Level Sync is awesome, and allows you to further help newbies and friends, etc etc.  Want to hang out with friends but they're trying to lvl up their main job/subjob or whatever?  Grats, you can jump in the fray, sync down~  And boom, you get exp or merit points.  I was with 4 friends from my end-game shell, helping their friend (who we all synced with) lvl up their BLU job.  We were in Lower Delkfutt's Tower roaming around, making 4.6k an hour.  The BLU got nearly 2 lvls in an hour, and that's pretty good considering she wasn't supposed to really be there, nor were we.  XD  Needless to say, Level Syncing is really fun in my opinion, and I find it to be a really great addition to FFXI.  All of the other neat stuff in this update?  I have absolutley nothing negative to say about it~  And that's that!

Anyway, lastly~  In the real world..  I finally got my driving permit.  Yeah, I know.  I'm 21, no license..  who cares, right?  Good, because I get my license in two weeks, and I really have no shame in never having gotten credentials until just now.  Why am I sharing this?  Because it's an accomplishment~

Another log, and I must say I'm a bit happy on this one.  I finally hit LV74, standing at a currenty 30k tnl as of this post.  Pretty awesome right?  I mean, I almost have a second 75.  Earlier in the morning, as soon as I woke up (I woke up at about 7AM in the morning), there was finally a pair of Cursed Gloves in the AH, which I bought.  The seller priced it 15k above usual price, which isn't too bad, but after buying it I went to go trade it to the NPC in Sandy right away.  The day before, I got Savage Blade, which I still think is a really awesome weaponskill.  Although, I feel like I'm not doing as much damage as I should be since everyone else keeps doing high numbers and I'm doing low >.>;

Aside from all of that, I'm finally getting out of my debt in RL (credit cards suck~), and it looks like I'll be getting a new job really soon.  I'm probably going to get an overnight job like my previous one, since I seem to be more active at night than the day time anyway (Not because I sleep in late or anything, which I haven't been as of lately) for some reason.  It'll more than likely be retail but..  nothing really wrong with that.  At least I won't be dealing with stupid people (unless of course, they're co-workers..) during the day like at my other jobs XD;

So I decided to keep a log of the things I accomplished, for memory sakes.  Whether or not my accomplishments mean anything to you is fine by me~

In any case, the past couple of days I've been grinding BLU rather hardcore.  Most already know that I'm 72BLU as of now, and have pretty much all of my spells (with the exception of sea spells).  Including today, I've gotten the following:

-Trial Weapon Latent Broken

-Learned Memento Mori

-Helped a friend learn a few BLU spells.

-Walahra Turban obtained.

-Lure of the Wildcat (San d'Oria) completed (I know, something really easy, but something I've put off for a really long time too.).

-Managed to get newer members for the shell, some of which are old friends that had quit FFXI awhile ago and came back.

-Broke 500k gil without having it given to me (Unlike the time I had 750k ish, and it was given to me by a friend who left to the Army >.>).

-Got N. Hands (still need Cursed Gloves though ><).

-Got promoted in Dyna Shell to a Main/Second Assist.

Mm, that's all for now.  I know, it's not exciting.  Maybe in the next log, I'll actually share stories of what happened, rather than list them.  ^^;

Don't mind this post much.  It's just a rant to myself.  It probably wouldn't make any sense to you, but if you're interested, just read it.

So, like DRG, I'm posting about my struggles as a BLU.  The past 3 weeks, I've been focusing an awful lot, grinding it from 46 to what it is right now, 68.  The thing is, aside from leveling, I've been farming all the spells I can possibly get.  Granted, there are a few I'm still missing (Memento Mori, Body Slam, and a few non-sea spells [about 7 spells I'm missing total; not including sea spells]).. which is fine.  But, I don't know, it's really frustrating.  Some spells took me a LONG time to learn.  Frenetic Rip?  10 days.  The few BLU parties I joined that went out spell hunting..  I was ALWAYS the last one to learn something.  Everyone would learn it off the first mob.  I learn it off the 10th or so.

Parties..  the entire time of spell farming, I didn't get many party invites, despite how fast I got from 46 to 68 within the 3 weeks.  Not a single campaign battle was done (I haven't even signed up for it yet), and I did besieged as often as sky/dynamis allowed me to, even on my days off of end-game.  Frustrating parties with a-holes who think they're good, but really suck (like this PLD who only used his MP for Flashing, never curing himself, then blaming others when he dies)..  stuff like that.

I've tried soloing, and well, that doesn't get me anywhere.  More of a set-back than progression honestly.  What also sucks is the fact that there's about 8 (give or take two) BLU MY level, so getting parties suck..  especially when there's something other people would rather want, like a SAM, DRK, DRG, etc.

I struggle for a party more than I did on DRG, and I've struggled often for spell farming.  I don't plan on quitting, because of all of the dedication, time, effort, and blood&sweat I've put into this "job" of mine.  I've gotten praise for being able to do things most jobs can't do, or are willing to do as a BLU.  I've tanked as a BLU/WAR (against imps), I've main healed as a BLU/PLD (laugh it up; it's a great alternative to those who don't have WHM leveled), and I've controlled hate as a BLU/THF.  I've messed around with a BLU's versatility, only to love the job more than ever, but..  it's just really frustrating that it's so hard.  The life of a BLU, is really.. really hard.  I guess though, that goes without saying:

A lifeless vessel harboring the departed souls of the slain beasts.  Blue Mage.

Today, was a scheduled DM run hosted by some of my endgame shell members, the same ones who I've been running Dynamis and Sky with for pretty much 2 months now~  And let me tell you, I had so much faith in this party, I wasn't even nervous..  'cept maybe when I was filming the run :x

Divine Might..  Well-organized, and without a doubt, easy with our "supertank" set-up.  Went in, waited for others to show up, set up a playlist..  Boom boom!  Oh yeah, then came the fight itself.  It was so fun, AND awesome!  I'm not even going to further explain the fight.  I recorded, so you'll see it when I finish rendering it and whatnot.  :3

In other news, as soon as I got to town, someone was shouting for Under Observation BCNM, and wanted specifically a BLU.  I shouted back with "

I woke up today, like every normal day..  Was talking to friends on Vent all day, and played some FFXI.  But, one thing was awkward..  my cat was gone.

I only noticed it when my dad called and said he heard from my cousin that someone broke into our house last night.  He told me to check my sister's room since  that was the most susceptible room..  The window was cracked open.

I blockaded the window and came back to my room, but my cat wasn't waiting at the door like she usually always does.  So I turn on all lights and search.  She was gone.

Now before you question, do note my cat NEVER leaves my room, and I always monitor her.  But, aside from that..  she's gone..
