I am just not having a bunch of luck this week in FFXI. Even considered throwin in the proverbial towel a few times, just on account of how often this sort of week comes along now. :P

I honestly don't know if its only our server or what. I can't imagine it is, since Kujata isn't the biggest one out there population wise. I do believe we have the highest JP population at least compared to EN/NA pop. Anyways just seems like whatever I get an idea to do, it just goes so annoyingly wrong. And not through any reason I can avoid or help myself, but usually due to someone else being a stupid jerk. >3

Well, I'm not much of a people person, but I do go outta my way to help folks. Just usally end up coming back to haunt me. For example, when I was leveling cookin in Sandy a few weeks ago I saw this guy asking for help with getting his airship keys. Well I was about done, and Sati wasn't doin nothin so I mentioned it and Sati went to help. By the time I got geared up on Sil's thief they were already done. End of story. Or so I thought. Now this same guy has been bugging me in tells to get his dragon fight done. He sent tells back to back while I was bazaaring the other night. Then came out to where I was bazaaring and started shouting for help. This was in Port Sandy... not the best place to shout for help.

Moving on...

Been trying my hardest to get SAM leveled to subjob, but dammit. You'd think with levelsynch there wouldn't be so many lolparties, even pre 30. But that misconception flew way out the window. I just have no luck. For a while me and Sati had DRK and SAM near abouts each other, but he got a pt early on today and got his DRK done with. In a couple days. Me? I keep getting the pts with the people who have no idea what they are doing. Most recent party had a friggin leech for a RDM. I swear, I wish there was a spell or costume effect you could give other people that would turn them into a cute little leech. At least then it wouldn't be so frustrating to look at them standing there. Doing nothing. Every battle.

They need a barleech spell. So if you cast it, it automatically boots people like that out of the pt.

And into another zone. Preferably a zone with big nasty things that like to eat leeches. Messily. With a lot of crunching and delevelings.

Yeah...

So what was with that update anyway? I was hoping they fixed Eald'narche's stupid robe. I actually sent in a bug report because it annoys me. And Kyleet might get AN done someday. And Sillabub can go get her first Zilart cutscenes now if I wanted. But I don't want to be mooned by Kam'lanaut's kid brother. That's just ew. Tried to ask for help getting it done on ffxidats, and gary offered a quick fix which didn't work. Looked fine till Eald moved, then stuff just started orbiting where it ought to of stayed in place and his shoulder was half broke and moving at a retarded angle. Missing weights is all it was but I don't know that much about DAT skeletons to fix the ones that are wrong, since there's no working model to reference. The original Eald'narche is just flat out missing hexes from his mesh. For crying out loud, fix his robe SE! Stop the mooning!!

Besides that tho I've also had to deal with AH whores. I've been wanting a tournament lance for a while now but they keep getting bought up by AH bots (I swear they must camp it, cause it'll be there and gone before it even registers on the AH site). They don't even use it, they just NPC it cause people stupidly put it up on AH for 10k when it npcs for 14k. All it would take is someone putting it up for 20k to stop, but nope. And that is indeed a Kujata problem cause I checked a few other servers and the tourney lances are bought by people who seem to be using them. But if you look at our server, tourney lances keep getting bought by the same 2 or 3 people. Frustrating...

Add that to the fact that it seems like everytime I get a rice harvest and go out to fish some sole and make a batch or 3 of sushi, I seem to have my timing right on time with a mule or rmt or something I dunno what he is, but they have them unpronouncable names... that undercut it by 1 or 2k a stack. That's just stupid. They sell for what they sell for even if you put it at the flat price.

All in all, my ffxi passion is dwindling pretty bad lately. Been playing Tales of the Abyss more. So yes, it is THAT bad, because I actually went through the trouble of hooking up the ol' PS2 and wrassling it into actually reading discs again.

But it's worth it! Just for Jade! :3

I haven't blogged in a while cause there's not much to blog about. Haven't been attending dynamis so much since Sati hasn't been able to get home in time for them. I probably should go anyway, but I don't really care about points. I never had any competition for DRG relic so its more about the actual event and its just more fun when Sati is there.

I guess I'm hopelessly attached to him. :3

Anyways, the leader of our Dyna shell -might- be planning a Storms of Fate run with their Sea/Sky EGLS counterpart. She said we could tag along if it comes to pass. That's really cool, cause I've been longing to get to Apocalypse Nigh for the LONGEST time.

So now that it actually seems to be possible, maybe. I asked my dear pal Matra a hypothetical question in order to find out if I'm even gonna appreciate what happens in AN. Given my fangirl obsession with Kam'lanaut, it seems like I'm not really gonna like what happens anyway.... :/ Oh well I'm used to disappointment like that. I guess.

Got back into drawing for now. And speaking of Kam'lanaut he was my subject of choice after having read some of my old fanfics. I realized I've never drawn him which is odd cause I usually end up drawing pretty boys I like in a compromising position or two before its over with. And by no means is that yaoi, cause I can't stand that junk.

Probably not the most popular subject matter here but, it's FFXI so I thought I'd put it up anyways 9.9; I'm still not that great at CGing the things I draw in photoshop. One, because photoshop just does not run that well with my tablet or with anything else running at all, and Two because my pencil art has a lot of shading and soft lines on it that doesn't translate wel when using the pen tool to clean up. The result is, no pen-tool so fuzzy line art. I'm trying to develop a method for making that work with my coloring style. I have a few ideas.

Beyond that, not much more to report. Been fishing and leveling sillabub on colibri in E. Ron. I just kinda gave up using food on them, in spite of having a tank style npc. He loses hate just long enough for colibri to steal mah cheezburger then goes back to tanking. I think its a conspiracy, Romidiant wants Sillabub to be a vegetarian.

My brother in law got a sample ballot in today and I took a look at it. You know, with all the utter crap going on on tv you'd think there were only 2 selections for el presidente. But I count 8. Yeah... 8. What's up with that? I haven't even heard about these other people let alone what they stand for. Not that that's much of a surprise, since we barely know anything about the 2 candidates that are getting all the airtime. I'm so sick of uninformed voting, and yet we really aren't given much choice. People are spoon-fed media-tweaked propoganda from stars and such that already decide how we dress and eat (or not eat in the case of females) and what cars we drive. They'll decide how we vote too. Not only that but the back and forth hate ads are just really really old. You have to dig through all this garbage to get to what each candidate actually stands for and at the end of the day, they're all still politicians.

Kind of like mice electing a cat president. They might argue over the black cat, the white cat or the orange cat being better. But they are still cats.

Whatever. Either way this election goes, I'm sure we're in for four years of crap. I wish we could uproot all of congress and start anew. Get all the "cats" out of there. But that's not gonna happen. Cause we're just mice.

Day 19: Sillabub's chocobo is Red!! I was really expecting a yellow since it already inherited an ability from its dad. I guess it got his color too. I'm pretty happy about that. Now I just gotta figure out why I can't harvest vomp carrots decently and I'll be in chocoheaven. I actually decided to go with the name PureRuby, even after that last blog. It just kinda fits. All my female chocobos have had pure + gem/stone name and the male had pure+abstract name. So maybe if it had been male, PureFire or PureImpulse would have been good. I might mod the red chocobo to have a ribbon on its head. I have to find the DAT number though that coresponds to the actual chocobo head. Could be difficult and I have to wait and see what build she churns out, though I'm expecting small beak + big tail feathers.

Been working CoP on Silla. Even though she's still only 47. We got Riverne Site A01 done last week after much anguish. The problem was I was about the only person leading, and those that weren't helping give direction weren't really listening either. Its the same story with everything I guess. The party I was in got it done in the first try cause they actually listened. It almost went wrong at the end but only cause I died (being kiter) On the last mob who went mage crazy on me when kite-healer was low on mp. But it was alright cause I was only buying time for the fighting team to recover some mp from the 2 mammets already down.

It was the second half of our perma that met with disaster. On 11 occasions. They spent 9 tries trying to do it with the help of a whm from our pt that didn't need the fight and had come to help out. It seems that on their fights their kite was having a hard time. I can't really say without being there, but that's what I gathered from tells. So on the next day we tried 2 more times and I came to help out. We had the same setup as we had with Sillabub's party. I came on whm Kyleet to heal the kite. Now I said the NIN should be the super kite with the PLD tanking for the fight team. But the PLD -insisted- on tank-kiting 2 mammets while NIN tanked for fighting team. I explained why this wouldn't work, but was ignored.

Why won't it work? Cause unless you can take care of yourself straight kiting those 2 mammets, then it won't work. You can't have someone cure you if you have actual claimed hate from mobs cause then the healer gets hate from cures. That's what happened. I died, then the pld died, then the fight team died. He couldn't keep both mammet's attention.

So then we did it my way. Won without a hitch. NIN went in and agrod (not claimed) all the mammets, fighting team pulled one off at a time. I only had to cure the NIN when the mammets went mage type on him, and I never got hate cause he never had claim. Easy as pie. The only hitch was that we had to set the PLD to quartermaster so he could get all the liquids to make the fight team easier.

Now we had one more person from our perma who needs this fight but wasn't able to make it to the makeup fights on sunday. That being said, our NIN needed those spare liquids for the missing member's fight. But the PLD ran off with them, subsequently disbanding then claiming he dropped them. Mysteriously, 7 yellow liquid appeared on the AH soon after, and although his name wasn't on the sold list you just gotta wonder if he had a mule or something. Anyway, that's one guy who won't be let into our fights anymore.

Not unless he wants to pay us a million gil a piece for pain and suffering to deal with him again.

Not much going on with Kyleet. Been saving up GP to get a cooking apron, I have about 30k GP to go, but keep getting stupid items that I can't make due to conquest sucking so hard. It really stinks too. If one person could control conquest, I wouldn't complain so much and go out there and do something, but so many people just don't care about it anymore... :/

Been workin on whm too. Almost got all my AF for it. I suppose I should merit DRG some more but I'm so lazy about that now that I got polearm merits all done. :P 2 more upgrades on Critical Hit to finish that and then move on to abilities. Doesn't seem like much but eh... I just get lazy about it. I kinda wanna make money too so I'm changing some stuff up in order to start fishing for gil again. I had been making yellow curry off of the coeurl meat we gain when we lvl npcs. But that's been such a rare drop lately and to top it off I keep getting smacked by people who speed-level up on it and don't care about profit who sink the price on it so bad it's not even worth the trouble. So after the last time this happened, I said bump it, got rid of most my curry materials, and synthed off my last batch. Gonna use sole sushi to skillup on, only cause I can use it and I can catch the fish and grow the rice. And I might make a profit on it to boot.

We'll see. :3 As long as the fish bots don't piss me off...

After waiting the harvest time for her wildgrass seeds to start glowing pretty, Sillabub enters her mog crib to reap the rewards of her hard work! 8D

Only to harvest a bunch of worms!!

I dunno whats up with wildgrass seeds. I have no problem getting the harvest I want out of anything else I grow, cept these. I'm trying for vomp carrot, but I usually get a whole bunch of rocks and worms. I dunno what I'm doin wrong. I plant on earth day, feed earth crystal on earth day and check on earth day. Maybe I'm checking too much? I dunno. Blat. My first harvest was ok, 4 plants yielded a total of 2 stacks of vomps, which isn't great considering I'm used to every plant giving me what I want... but its a lot better than nothing.

Oh well. Baby Chocobo is doing well. Her Endurance is already substandard.

Other than that, been concentrating on lvling Sillabub. She solo's quite nicely in the past now on ladybugs at THF/DNC 45. With the help of her trusty and handsome Romidiant. Although, during the daytime, it can get pretty scrappy if the bugs start spamming the amnesia move. They're tough little snots during the day.

Another problem is the ppl that farm the bugs. They tend to kill the 3 or 4 that spawn where its safe for me to camp them. Mostly cause they prolly don't see me there since they don't bother to turn around and see what's making that fighting noise behind them when they spawn in to ron. Guess I'll have to scout out a new camp when I have night on my side again. :P

Dynamis got swiped again last night. I mean, who the heck steals Dynamis-Jeuno?? But they did. Same shell too. I think we actually have grounds to GM them since they knew we were there and this is the second time they've moved in people just to hold the zone because they saw us there. Its equivalent to someone camping on you for exp pt, and then you move and they just follow you. Which is a gm-able offense of general harrasment.

Anyway the leader of that shell is Epitaphrx. And if you look on ffxiah kujata he claims to be in the LS Demo. And if you dunno who they are, its some notorious EGLS known for jerk tactics like that and botting hnms and that kinda stuff. They were on a larger server for a long time, then I guess found out that there weren't that many EGLS who had that kind of drama on Kujata, so the whole LS switched to our server to make that kind of drama here.

But they said that Epitaphrx wasn't in Demo anymore on the LS last night. Dunno what happened there but apparently he started his own group of pissants and they're stealing dynamises now. And they're new too, probably just started with the update. Their tactic: They try to steal dyna xarc every tuesday and friday regardless of who's there. That just happens to be our dynamis nights too.  If they can't get into dyna xarc they steal whatever else is available.

It's pretty stupid. They could just use the calendar and claim their night like everyone else. Why would people join an ls that just likes to create drama like that? They need to put all those kind of people on a server by themselves and let them kill each other out. -.-

Sillabub's chocobo is coming along nicely. I'm doing my best to remember it every day! If I can get it to learn gallop I'll probably be raising it to full regardless of color. But here's hoping for a red! So seeing how its a girl I've already got the yellow name picked out if it turns out yeller. PureLight :3

But if its red? Hmm. Well my first decision was of course PureRuby but then I thought, that doesn't sound or look as good in text as I thought it would. So I picked out a few more options. PureFire and Pureblaze are nice... PureScarlet and PureRose seem a little more feminine which is good for a girly bird like Silla's. Then there's the non-color ones that suggest fiery like PureImpulse. I'm just indecisive now. Course PureLight could be used for Red too I guess. Hmm... maybe?

Maybe I should just go ahead and name it that but then what if I decide I want an obvious red name later? Blat. Or what if since I decided already that would be my yellow name, if by picking it early I jinx it to be yellow? It could happen!

*pets Chocobo* I wish they had a save state for these birds. Then I could go till the npc guy names her and see what he picks. It's the only way to get a one word name, but it could be and probably will be something stupid.So if that happened I could load state and try again. XD Oh wells.

So today I was goofing off in Campaign as usual. Leonoyne has been stalking meh. No lie! I dunno how many times I thought "I'm so dead" And then I hear his charming "I'ma cool yous off before sending you to [expletive]!" Well I usually die anyways after that but it's still neat that he tried to come to my rescue. 6.6; And at least the mob gets hurt.

Maybe he wants to make Ky an official codierte. Tired of all them elvaan chicks with their twiggy necks. Yeah.  He so got my vote this tally! Sorreh V. I only saw Valaineral a few times. Although it was quite heroic how he took on 3 packs of mobs and only died after all of his men went down, and even then he hung on long enough to cause 2 of the mob units to retreat. Moonfangs got him tho. I hate thos stupid things. -.- With their spam cure of infinate annoyance. Doom on them ><

So I'll prolly give V his vote next tally. :3 If I remember to anyways. I dunno if anyone even bothers with the personal influence npc guy but I like to think Ky's vote counts. XD

Anyways on one of the campaign battles today I got 4450 exp and 2210 AN. From one battle. It was a crazy fight and lasted a while, but holy crap. I've never seen that much exp at one time flash up on my screen. So I screenshoted it. And it got me the merit I was only halfway through getting when I started out. Only one more and I'll be 3/4 on Critical Hit % up. I'm pretty lazy about merits tho, and I've been having the whm itch to get that leveled to at least 60. Its easy pie to get merits on campaign as WHM as long as its under friendly control. Under beastmen control with no one fighting anything its just a waste since I can't do any damage to that fort to justify spending a half hour beating on it. :P

I guess I could party whm. But who wants to do that? Pfft. :3

Whoop whoop!

This stuff is friggin delicious. I've been snacking on Nori and rice while hubby is out getting his hair done and I just realized that people just don't give this stuff its due amount of praise.

And step back, it's good for you too! D: Got Iodine? No? It's probably an epidemic in the states thanks to the morons at the FDA. Iodine deficiency can and does lead to a slow acting thyroid. Which in turn leads to obesity (gosh that's not common at ALL in the states, is it? 9.9), dry &/or pasty skin, and high blood pressure. And that's just some of the bigger ones.

Anyways. FDA limits the amount of iodine in all our foods. Most don't have any. The only way most americans get iodine is by use of iodized (read: table/processed) salt. And even then that ammount is miniscule.

Well it just pisses me off. Stupid FDA. Eat kelp, ppl! Eat Nori! *pickets* FDA GTHO.

Grr. Grrowl. So... seaweed, I toast thee. Or roast thee... and then use thee to scoop up rice and munch. Umnumnumnumnum.

Well I'm a little bored and hubby is snoozing. Too bad he's not a deep enough sleeper for me to do something embarrasing to him and take a picture. Unlike me - I could sleep through a trainwreck.

Sillabub's chocobo hatched right after I wrote my last blog. And.. it's a girl. ;P I was hoping on a boy but oh wells. It did manage to inherit Canter from its dad. So now, if it doesn't turn out red I might actually have to raise it anyways since none of my other fast birds have abilities. Could this give me the edge in monster races? Still, I hope she turns out red. :P Would totally match Silla's swimsuit.

We had 45 people waiting at the heiroglyphs for Dynamis-Qufim tonight. And with 7 more on the way, the LS leader decided to hop over to Beaucidine instead, since there were too many people to even do a split (I'm guessing 2 dreamland runs). At first I was a little dismayed, and still am due to the fact that Sati needed that win. But I guess I can't be too upset since I walked away with Bard and Dragoon body relic. I've wanted the Bard one more than Dragoon, but I'm happy to have 4/5 on DRG relic. Even though there's really no competition for DRG stuffs right now. Although a couple high-pointers are leveling it fairly fast.

But finding out about healing breath IV activating at 30 percent instead of 60 kinda made it not as spectacular as I had thought, and so I'm not in that much of a hurry to get Wyrm Armet anymore.

We had a BLM and RDM body drop too. Along with a bunch of other things. So at least that's one person out of the way on both of Sati's huge lists. 3 of our relics dropped in the last 10 mins too, which is a miracle because nobody was afk. :3

On the other side of the coin, my cousin had his first dynamis today. He's in a LS that's similar to ours but their runs are in the morning which fits his schedule better. But I'm guessing(hoping) a lot of their folks play on the 360 version and weren't able to get on. He was the only tank, and they only had 15 people show up in Dynamis Bastok. I guess its good that he's one of those weirdos who likes dying a billion times.

Oh they lost, by the way. XD

But he said he had fun. Dying.

Elvaans... 6.6; Wonder if he'd think it was that fun if he were one of the races that took a facefull of dirt when they go down... I should dare him to get that PlasticSurgeon thing and go taru for one of them. Or Mithra-roadkill... hume male face plant...

Well apparently, so is anyone else who isn't voting for Obama. So I guess I'm racist. Cause when I say I'd rather vote for McCain just to keep Obama out, people immediately assume its cause the guy's black. And he's not even black. He's half black. As he himself admitted. But really, how immature.

No. According to folks running his campaign and his supporters, if you're not voting for Obama, you're racist. When honestly isn't it just as racist to vote for someone just because they are black? Whatever. If being black is the only thing he has on his side, it will be a sad sad state of government he'll lead. He'll never do anything wrong because he's black, and if anyone dares speak out against anything he ever does, they'll be accused of being racist.

Sorry for the political crap, but hearing this kind of pewp all the time on the tv by 'trendy' people who are voting for Obama because it's the 'trendy' thing to do or popular thing to do, well it just gets on my nerves. So there. I ranted. I don't really feel better cause I'll keep on seeing his hate ads on tv polluting up my favorite shows every 10 mins, but yeah I just thought I'd let you know that I'm racist. Since I'm not voting for Obama. :P Gonna clear the air there.

And its not that I like McCain any better. But yeah, I'd cast my vote for him just to keep Obama out since there's no "none of the above" option. Why? Cause while I may not be racist, I can be pretty damn spiteful. Especially when a babykiller's trendy constituants start accusing ppl of being racist...

Anyways, on to FFXI stuffs. I got cooking to 80 at last. And I've got a purty good plan setup for 90. I might catch it up with fishing  one day! 8D Maybe! 8D I have the worst luck with skillup, though honestly. It'll probably be ages till I see the next cooking test. :P

Sillabub's new chokeebo is gonna hatch soon. I'm hoping for a male. Would make for good pairings later. We'll see tho. And I'm hoping for red but that will come in 19 more days I guess. Regardless I'll prolly raise it to adult and then retire it just to avoid the guilt trip they give you. :P So if its not red, hopefully it has one of it's Pa's attributes.

Dynamis Qufim tonight. Not sure if I'll go. I can use the points I guess. I might go to get points since I don't need win I can sit out if its overlimit. Which it usually is. Hubby needs win tho. :P So he has no choice. Mwahahaha....

But really, I haven't even gotten my xp back from the deaths at Last Friday's Xarc when all these mobs repopped on top of us and carnage ensued right at the end. It was great fun. :P

After a stupid evening of piddling exp of stupidness in SSG with the Sillabub, I rushed to Selbina to get some crafting done and of course. It's the guild's holiday. So as I stand here waiting around I figured I might as well blog something.

Idly, her npc said something about that as well, that everytime he visits a shop its closed or on holiday when he needs something. I guess they really were meant for each other. Good thing he's cute. :P

Anyways, I thought SSG would be a nice place to exp. And it was for a bit. The Sahagins on the tip top floor spawn pretty fast and they range around the DC level which is just about perfect for her right now until some better gear comes along levelwise. But of course my luck with areas that aren't all the way out of the way never holds out. A couple of BST come along and start killing everything. Now, this is what I don't get. I should correct myself too, they were not BST, they were subbing it. A NIN/BST and a RDM/BST synched to 49! What sense does that make? I can think of tons of things I'd be fighting at 49. How can those even be giving them much exp? They were DC to me, and the bats and leeches were EP but they were taking those too. I managed to steal a few sahagin from them, although if I was there first I don't see how it is really 'stealing'.

So when I got sick of competing over the few sahagin that are in that level range, I roamed down near Norg and started fighting ironshells. They're a little harder. I could also handle a skeleton but the fight was long. Still its a real shame that the little 43 THF was such a threat to those two that I had to go move to harder mobs. Some people are just stupid. They could have taken them.

But then they started moving in on my crabs and stuff. It's like ok? I moved so I wouldn't have to put up with them and then they just follow me. It's not like their 'pets' have a 20 hour recharge if you have to leave the area. So when I go somewhere that's why I have to make damn sure there's no one to compete with or else I'm just wasting a signal pearl charge. I just don't understand why they were even there. Sure they increased the exp from EPs, but there really are better things to fight at 49 in the EP-DC range.

Romidiant is almost 42 now. Oh and its neat, stalwart shield can intimidate undead. I dunno if the wiki says that or not but yeah. That was nice. Wish he was able to cure me like a real PLD. Can't have everything I guess. 9.9;

Fought Ose and almost died. We've killed that cat countless times and never had any problems but today he was really timing his silences and paralyzes to hit right when I got in range of healing breath. Which meant his next two hits would knock me in the red. Which meant my NPC would think she had to tank. So she'd provoke. I'm not sure I like that change. I hope there's a way to turn it off. I should check...

Sillabub has a new chocobo egg. I breeded PureAmber with someone's red. Hoping for a red chick. We'll see. :3 I'll try not to forget I'm raising one on her this time and maybe it won't hate her guts so bad.
