Press coverage is something that childhood obesity has been getting a lot of for a long time. Even in the US where this has reached epidemic proportions, the press coverage has made little difference.
We are not here to discuss how it happens or who is to blame as we all know what the causes are. The health dangers to children who are officially obese or certainly overweight are enormous and potentially life-threatening in later years. An entire generation has a huge percentage of children that are suffering physically and even in psychological areas. Being overweight will make peers be brutal, which should not have to be endured as well as being a teen. Let’s take a closer look at what the obese child is facing, today.
An obese kid is on a terrible path toward impossible health problems. One example of this is fatty liver disease which is an incredibly common liver condition. Very many years ago people usually associated liver problems with alcoholism and sclerosis of the liver. Today, though, we understand that fatty liver disease is most often caused by chronic obesity. Usually the thing that really makes the issue worse is that people who are obese have severely dysfunctional metabolisms. The liver further helps people by sorting out toxins and anything else that is not good for your body. This puts a major demand upon the bodily systems of kids and teens who are obese.
Some of the most serious risk factors developed are those involving the cardiovascular system. Elevated serum cholesterol and triglycerides in fatty blood profiles are something obese children are known to have. Because these heart diseases start early in life, they need to be intervened immediately. Imagine your child having to take prescription medication to counter their high cholesterol. Accepting the known side effects is something an adult has to do when they take these medications.
These medicines may be complicated for a young child or a teenager to take. The important thing to keep in mind is that your knowledge plus action on what you learn about gluten free foods has great potential. We all know how much people like to complain about things, and that is one thing that really hardly ever gets anything done.
It seems so many people have a sincere desire to do something, but they fall in the trap of just sitting there and wishing. There is really a form of momentum in our lives, and the hard part for most is just simply getting started.
We all know it is easy to think about things, but the other part of the equation is the movement part – move toward your goals. Do continue on with this because the best is yet to come.
There are a few reasons as to why the prospects do not seem very clear for an obese child. When an obese child becomes an adult there is a long list of health problems and diseases that are at risk of. Is there a way in which this condition can be reversed?
Well, studies show that obese teenagers are sixteen times more prone to developing into severely obese adults. That obviously does not bode well for those teens. Because the risk factors are developed at an early age, they are likely to have a very poor quality of life as an adult.
So that these children start to lose weight, we think that they should have an emergency plan of action. Of course we are aware that there are loads of unique situations for these kids. This situation has eluded being reversed so far, but it is very serious.
