The above link is an image of achieving Sky Access as of sometime in april. Many big thanks goes to Foulei and his friend, Dragonkid, for helping me with the last two missions beforehand!
Since my last post a lot has happened online. Foulei and I recently joined up with Legends of Ramuh, a sky/hnm/expansion missions LS. They're pretty good people and are ok so far. We're still with FraggleForce, the Dynamis LS.
I kinda had let myself get so worked up with "endgame" (ie; high lvl events) when I didn't need to. See, a lot of ls members on legends, at the time we joined, were finishing up CoP missions constatly so they can all have Sea access. The drawback to that was since they were doing it for the past 2 months straight they've been "burnt out" with CoP that when I asked nobody didn't want to assist me.
I admit, I was dissapointed at first but you know what, I appreciate the honesty. I was upset at first because I had THOUGHT I needed to finish. See, the LS leader wanted everyone to get things going and complete CoP so everyone can attend sea and if you didn't complete he would have you dropped out of the ls.
That is not the case with me or the newcomers to the LS. I had thought it was at first due a miscommuication problem. About 80% of the members haven't had CoP completion in over a year and a half and he wondered why the slackedness. So he motivated them to get off thier butts to finish, no excuses. This was an exception with me and some of the newcomers, well...me and one other person. He knows I'm struggling to finish, what with being on the most difficult mission, 4-2 (Ouryu fight). So basically as long as im doing my best to finish CoP all the better. Plus I'm optimistic that the rest of the ls members will eventually help me and the other newbies out once they recover from their burn out, lol.
For now though I'm with a group of people who I helped out with the Diabolos mission a few times-fun fight by the way-and we hit things off pretty well.
My impressions about endgame?
Well, firstly it IS fun, a bit overrated in some areas, but fun nonetheless, especially with people you know and have fun with. My advice, for those who are interested, is to take things slow and at your own pace. Be choosy with what endgame ls you want to be with. Make sure to be vigalent in how an LS does things and that they treat people fairly. You WILL run into people who are loot maniacs-greedy folk-but dont let that stop you from having fun. Gear comes and goes; its how you have fun with a group of people that is irreplaceable.
Aside from that I've been getting some loose ends done. I'm now rank 10 in bastok, fame lvl 7, woot! My warrior is almost to lvl 73, just now 2 lvls away from 75! Afther months of hunting Valkurm Emporor I got the hairpin yesterday; 1/3 as well as Ochimusha Kote from Mee Deggi 1/12 just about a month ago.
I've been doing my best to help people in between as well. I'll be glad after this week that I can go back to doing so. I missed and even forgotten how fun it is to help others on this slow-paced, yet rewarding game.
To my freinds and LS members, please hang in there. I know the majority of you have been frustrated lately with the slow progress of things but trust me, the more persistant you'll be the better off.
Peace,
-Rusty.
