What a day... I log in and find myself in the bottom of Garlaige Citadel. I remember now... I was here last time farming beetles for Beastseals. Once I get my bearings I start up again. Here beetles beetles beetles... only there aren't any, hmmm? After walking around for a couple of minutes... I noticed 1 party pulling beetles... ok, no biggie, there are enough beetles to go around... Theres One!!! I take it out, no prob. Then what pops??? What is That!?! SERKET!!! I've never seen it before and its the biggest F'n Scorp I've ever seen. Now, I'm an NM hunter (its my hobby... over 120 different NM killed) I waste no time Provoking it. Man, I'm barely scratching it and its hitting my for 160+ once my shadows drop (75nin btw). I'm going down... (Mijin Gakure!!) I homepoint and get back out there as fast as possible and start calling for my RGoNot buddies (LS). Two of us race out there as fast as we can, hoping no one else claims it. Others are on their way... do we wait for back up, or do we claim it now and hope they get to us on time??? Next thing you know, i got an RMT spamming me in Chinese. I'm thinking "aw man, we got to hurry". We are now 3 strong and cant wait any longer. CHARGE!!! The fight starts off good we get it down to 75% in no time (75nin, 75mnk, 74smn) Then it goes a bit slower at 50% and our LS leader is wishing us luck because "You guys are Crazy" as he puts it, hehehe. Now here is where thing start to get exciting. 75smn is running out of MP and now has beetle aggro (/sad). With no MP to heal us or himself SMN goes down. Woot, 75sam joins the party. We finally get it down to 25% but it isnt looking good, and now the RTMs are starting to circle us. SMN reraise and tries to get back in the fight (resting). Serket is now close to 15%, no MP = no HP for us. SAM goes down... NIN goes down... now its just the MNK and the best healing a weakend SMN can do. 10%... I start texting "Hunderd Fist!! Hunderd Fist!!". Its all up to Altana now. 5%... looks like the MNK is going down (/sad)... The RMTs are waiting for our wipe, friends are losing Exp. But Wait!!!... What this???... 75RDM, Yes!!! I couldnt invite him to party because the leader (me) was already dead, but that didnt stop him... RDM broke out all the cures keeping the MNK alive and Down goes Serket!!! Down goes Serket!!!
On top of everything... Yes!!! Serket Ring drop!!! 5,000gil drop, Reraise drop, Elixir drop... new title "Serket Breaker" and the best feeling of all, poo poo to the RTMs.
(Excitment)(Yes, please) These are the moments I love best on FFXI.
