Ok so i hit 70 on dragoon, bought all the gear i had been looking forward to getting, bought an icarus wing, four hi potions, a pamama au lait, and farmed a dragoon's testimony, and was finally ready to tear maat a new one.

I'm checking and rechecking all my gear, items, and macros as i enter the BC, this is my first Maat fight and i dont want to screw anything up. So i trade the old man the testimony and go into the Chamber of Oracles *NOT REALIZING THAT I STILL HAVE TO ENTER THE BC TO FIGHT HIM* So i put on my opo necklace like the dumbass that I am and start sleeping to 100% tp and pop my pamama au lait and a couerl sub. I run around the corner, see the burning circle and say "ohhh.......wait......... ohhhhh...... fuck...... maybe it wont take my TP.... lets try it and see....................shit" So I zone into the BC and it takes away my pamama and my TP, so the only buff I have left is the meat.

I stand at the entrance for like 30 seconds calling myself a dumbass and trying to make a new strategy, until i finally just decide to go for it. I engage and run at him with the eye of the tiger music from Rocky playing in my head and hit him with one swing (Duderson's Polearm Skill Rises 0.2 points), use both my jumps, 2hr, use both my jumps again, get a critical hit, and use Penta Thrust..... and I won. Im staring at the screen in disbelief as it tells me that i beat the old Bahamut Maat Drg record by over two and a half minutes, with a time of 1:16....  

I have come to the conclusion that maat was distracted by my charm and good looks, and didnt notice the polearm that was coming towards his face.

Thanks to Gerdie, Blathnate and Tribia for helping me farm a dragoon testimony and Weasel for crafting those sleeping potions for me that i didnt even use the right way
