Game Weddings
Posted On August 30, 2008 08:33 AM by Amarantha

OK, so u got 3 time slots a day, 5 days a week...which makes 15 available weddings per week per server.  I have a really hard time believing that 15 couples per week per server want to get married.

Yes, u guessed right...Tim and Dal's wedding that I had applied for didn't get drawn in the stupid wedding lottery.  Seriously...if it was that much in demand, wouldn't u think that after two years, I would have either met someone who had been married in game if not invited to a wedding?

I think the whole thing is a myth...it's like Staten Island...it doesn't really exist.

I highly doubt there is 15 weddings per week per server. That means they'd have over 400 weddings a week for all servers. I'm guessing the lottery is based for ALL servers combined, not one. So if you apply for one day along with 30 other couples for that same date/time, only one is chosen. That would be my guess since there's so few 'married' couples. Of course not everyone advertises it either that they are married. I am married in game, but I don't really run around wearing my wedding dress and ring, so most don't even know.

I think it took about3 or 4 tries for us to be accepted for our wedding. I think it took about a year for it to happen. That is also counting some of us going on breaks too :P

I really hated the lottery thing. Luckily, when I did it and we won, my ex didnt qualify because he was already married to another "ingame" chara techincally. (I know, that was a huge turn off from that point) XD
