Should I feel bad?
Posted On August 25, 2008 08:51 AM by Chimeran

Ok, so I'm doing Besieged, which I LOVE and do anytime I'm on and I get a /tell from some random dude asking me to help him with ZM4 (Tonberry lantern fight thingy) ... so I tell him i'm in Besieged and I'll come when I'm done and he asks how long its going to be cause he wants to get this out of the way.

So I warpy outta besieged to go help this dude, pay 4k for a tele-Yhoat cause well, all of the freakin' mages are in besieged and get out there and we're still not ready.

Almost an hour later, we finally go in.  He had the lantern and paintbrush so we were good there.

We get to the gate to fight, we all go in and he can't get in.  He didn't do ZM3!!! (which is only talking to the Mithra in Kazham) ... so we go ahead a fight and he goes back and does his mission.

2 ppl dropped, he gets back to the jungle, i'm trying to get a lantern again and I D/C.  Not on purpose ... router is on the fritz.

Next day, I get back on and /tell him ... asked if he finished, if he needed help doing it again or help with anything else.  He ignored me both times.

Should I feel bad?  Should I let this go?  He was in dynamis so maybe he missed my /tell ... should I try to /tell him again?  I'm a bit torn on this one.

Thanks!

He has no right to be angry with you. You dropped what you were doing to help him when he asked. It's his fault he wasn't ready, not yours. ^_^

If anyone should feel bad, it's him... for not being ready for the help you offered to give him dispite the fact you were in besieged when he asked for it.

Nah don't feel bad at all about it. It's mistake on his part that he didnt do ZM3. The simple fact you went ahead and did ZM3 with him, and followed up to ZM4 until your D/C he has no right to feel bad and thats just human reasoning there. But since he's in dynamis yeah I can imagine he missed your tell lol. I ignore /tells when I'm in dynamis because typing is such a huge hassle with lag ~_~

I honestly wouldn't feel bad either. lol If it's really some completely random person asking you for help, the fact that you dropped what you were doing and spent your time helping them out only to find he didn't bother to do you the same courtesy is pretty lame. I definitely wouldn't feel bad about it especially if he's even ignoring you. He -should- thank you for trying and apologize for not being prepared, if anything.

Honestly I'd let it go. He wasted his help's time by not paying attention to what he really needed done to be ready. Atleast I would... that's one of my pet peevs... :P Someone did that to my group for Shadowlord fight... we got all the way there, with aggro trouble because after us telling everyone to get their own way to snk/inv, he was the only one who didn't bother, ...just to find out he couldn't get in... I haven't helped him since...
