Ever get that comment on your report card? That would probably be on mine if FFXI gave out report cards. Well, after today anyways. That's how I feel most of the time at least. Lately people seem to be such jerks in game!

To rant... or not to rant...

Too late! I already started!!

Been workin on Sillabub lately with her THF. Subbing DNC with a shield npc works pretty well for solo purposes though there have been some hairy situations before Romi started using TM: Fortitude. (Which he finally took today, yay! I has PLD npc!) So here's the deal. Do people see other soloing or duoing and think, well they don't really count? That seems to be the case! Here's what happened:

I was minding my own in Yhoator Jungle. The place was deserted when I got there so I took up camp with my npc in the tunnel to the right of the zone. Yeah PTs usually setup there but there wasn't one. I'm very courteous when it comes to soloing. I make sure to stay away from PT mobs if one is there xping. To the point where I'll even go to another zone and such. But that wasn't happening today. Yhoator was all mine! Got through the signal pearl charge and was resting up HP while waiting on tactics pearl timer to activate. I had just got done with a set of Mandy chains. There was not a mandy to be found anywhere near me because I killed them all.

Behold, what cometh over the hill but a pack of rabid chocobos. Or rabid tarus... no wait it was chocobos. Carrying tarus. And some humes. A pt had arrived. They wander around me while I'm medding. And I think to myself, they HAVE to notice me with my non-full HP. They HAVE to notice the bizarre absence of mandragora kind in my vicinity.

Well if they did, they must have thought it was one huge coincidence cause they all get off their chocos with their shiny SMN Power-level. Okay? What about the mithra in your midst there people? I don't even have invisible spell so I know they saw me! Well, stupid me I assumed they'd at least be courteous enough to let me pull some mandies. Not like I kill them that fast. I call up Romi again and pull a mandy. They pull a gob. Good, I think. This might work.

Nope. Quickly after their gob is dead they start pulling mandies from under me. Even when I'm sitting there, ranged attack began, they yanked them away. And they kept pulling from the cross-roads side of the camp where I was aiming. So in order to get mandies, I had to move to the more dangerous 2-opening camp with goblin on either end. Many many close calls of goblin agro and it was just so frustrating! Romi got his level though, and left So even though I had only 300 tnl, I left too.

People are just so rude! They could have at least ASKED me to move or said something. The vengeful part of me wanted to pull a mandy and fight it in the middle of their camp to sleep them all. But A) I don't even know if that works anymore and B) Knowing my luck that'd get me killed before it got them killed.

I think half the people that play this game would be better off in WoW. That's where jerks belong. You know, where you can kill them and stuff. 9.9;

Anyway Romi has his TM now and will cure himself. Today I went out to level in Altepa Desert. I always search before I head out to places to make sure I won't be making a Party's day bad. Again, this area was deserted. But not for long. Cause here comes a high level jerk targetting the very same beetles I was fighting. I know he saw me there, I had cleared all but one beetle and was resting Romi's mp when he came along and took it. What was even the point? Aren't there better places to farm beetles? And what do you even farm from beetles that makes it soo~ worthwhile you gotta steal kills from a measly little thf trying to level up all by her lonesome? Doom on them.

That got frustrating fast, since the dhalmel are too tough and the spiders too weak. And I can't fight the beetles anywhere else in the zone cause of antica agro. But that guy could of. So after one signal pearl charge I shut down the game. Too annoyed to do anything.

Rude people sure know how to ruin someone's day.

Anyways. Sillabub is 39THF now, halfway to 40. I can't wait till 40! I can let her wear the Gala corsage Sati bought for Kyleet ages ago (before we got the IG wedding and real wedding set). It's a silly thing to get excited over maybe but I've been waiting a long time for it. Poor Sillabub has always been in the 30s.

So now I'm gonna go play oblivion where I can just shoot people with shiny arrows if they piss me off. 8D
