Well, time for a new update!
Almost 6 months later, I was finally able to get onto ffxi once more! Part of the story I didn't mention in the last update was what inspired me to become a DRG. On that last logout, as i was about to vanish, a mithran DRG. Rai's model, and haircolor walked up in front of me, in full AF, Wyvern in tow. Walking as if with a sense of purpose...
Finally it came time to reactivate my content ID. As I was in the character selection screen, i kept flipping between recreating Zack, my Hume. Or.. followint what had become my passion. In the months between i kept reading up on DRG, about what it could do.. and about the powers it held. About the companionship of the Dragoon, and its Wyvern. I was truely.. inspired..
I finally hit that mithra button, made my character, and gave it the name of another character I had known, from one of my favorite stories at the time. Finally, Back in San D'Oria once again, my home. Thanks to my former playing... I already knew how to do a slew of quests.. missions.. how and what to fight.. so I set out, as a warrior once more. I asked for someone to get me a polearm. I would have to live with that till i was a true dragoon.
The levels went by slowly, as always, but they went by much more smoothly. Parties would always tell me to get an axe, or a sword and sheild, because thats what a warrior is 'supposed' to have. But I ignored it, and finally, lvl 30 came... Oh, I was excited... I asked my friend Vagrent to assist me with the misison. I wanted DRG fast, and I wanted it now! We breezed through the quest, killed the wyvern whom opposed us, and finally, i got my own. 2 names had been more prominent than the rest, Cerulean, and Azure. Both shades of blue, my favorite color. And in the end, me and Cerulean would soon be starting our journey.
I hit my MH faster than Cactrot Rapido. Changed jobs, Geared up, and headed out. I was literally Euphoric, my body was tingling, i was so excited, drenaline pumping. I set out to fight, and learn the ways of the dragoon. I was breezing through levels, within thirty minutes i was already almost level 5, and with confidence, i headed deeper into raunfare, when I was aggroed by a goblin. I felt confident in the fight.. nothing had matched my power yet. And it was still true... However, my wyvern couldnt handle the power of the goblins bombings.. and died. I was quivering.. my wyvern just died, my pact-partner... and thta goblin soon learned the wrath of a dragon-knight. It became my personal vandetta to hunt, and kill every goblin in sight. Finally, two hours later, me and my friend were re-united. I breezed through levels 10-26... I was in khazam within 3 days, between soloing, and parties.. nonstop.
The levels slowed slightly, but not much, and before I knew it, I was lvl 45. Vagrent helped me attain my Peregrin, and soon came another 5 levels. Then.. LB1....
