I'm absolutely sick of people exploiting campaign for free, endless exp. There's a simple fix to stop it. And I hope that all of you will visit this site

to help. That's the same site you go to to report bots and rmt. But instead of using the special task force form, use the Comments & Suggestions form to suggest something like this:

Please for the sake of all the non lame players out there who enjoy not getting our asses kicked every time a campaign battle starts in a) a place where the tag guy is far from the stronghold (IE: every battle where allied forces are attacking instead of defending), please please please limit the number of tags received during campaign battle to one per. Meaning that if someone takes their tag off, they can't get another one until that battle ends. This will make them have to run and actually do something other than spam macros by the arbiter, and renew tags once they reach the xp cap on buffs.

Now I don't want them to take away exp for buffing people. That would hurt a lot of non-lame people. So don't suggest that. This suggestion of limiting campaign tags to one per Campaign Battle would help curb the Lamers only. Then one of 2 things will happen. Lamers will start campaign hopping, moving from battle to battle and casting 30 buffs, then moving to another, rinse repeat, which takes a lot of running around and inconviences them. Lame people don't like to be inconvienienced. Non-Lame people don't like to be inconvieninced by Lame people. So since the Lamers will only be crowding around the arbiter long enough to cast buffs and then move on, non-lame people won't be bogged down with Lame people Lag. (all those friggin bard buffs going off makes it take longer for the arbiter to load for me, I dunno bout you guys...)

Or they might actually start becoming not lame people by realizing hey! EXP is BETTER if I actually contribute to the battle instead of being Lame! So then the original non-Lame people won't die so much because there might actually be enough non-lame people to take out an orc unit or two without NPCs.

Although what is more likely to happen is the Lame people will find some other place/way to be Lame. With this limited tags option, it won't be on Campaign terf where they're just annoying to look at. And to hear.

Idly, Elvaan men have very sexy voices.

But its hardly ever Elvaan. It's usually tarus. Coincidence? Hmm... Tarus = Lame? 

Well maybe not.

BUT MAYBE! Tarus! Speak out against your lame bretheren. Suggest/petition for them to limit campaign tags to one. If you take it off by accident (which would be hard since its the 4th symbol on your screen, AFTER Sigil and after normal buffs) then you must wait till the battle is over and a new one has begun to get it renewed.

This ends the useful, constructive part of this blog. Now to begin the rant.

Went out to Campaign on WHM47. A, because I had whm gear cluttering my inventory and wanted to see if I could do anythign worthwhile before packing it away again, and B, because I wanted to.

Chose Eldieme as my first target, because I thought for sure there'd be folks to heal there considering how bad we've gotten owned there in the past. Of course, there isn't. No one bothering to help the NPCs out, everyone just at the isolated Fortification that the mobs only happen by once in a while. So I club at it a little bit. Manage to get quite a decent amount of exp 300 isn't bad on a 47 job with no damage capability.

After that I went to Batallia. This place should be SO EASY to take! The mobs guarding it are usually the magic using orcs. They are complete pansies to melee as long as they get silenced. And even then, with a good DD, they get interrupted a lot. And they have like half the defense of the other orc units.

So you'd think people would love to beat on them for easy exp.

Not so! The Stronghold is just too far to walk for the Lamers mentioned in the first half of this rant. So the scant few PCs who dared to brave it alone got decimated. Not only that, but a few of the non-Lamers were of the I'm to scared to voke even though I'm WAR variety.

Which puts them in the Stupid but not Lamer category. We'll call them fatheads from now on.

This particular fathead pulled an orc with 10 percent hp left. He was subbing nin, using a G. Axe. And since it was only 10 percent I thought ok. I can stand here and help this guy. So I casted Dia on the orc. Then Slow. Slow which HAD NO EFFECT. Next thing I know I have the orc coming at me. Of course wearing seer's set I'm pathetically squishy.

Does the WAR voke back?

No, obviously he thinks the WHM in Seer's gear can handle tanking.

I hate pansies.

Especially fathead ones.

Don't put on the heavy armor if you don't have the stones to use it, you stupid fatheads! Grrr. Hiss. Boo.

So now I'm running along with the NPCs, hasting the big guys and beating on the fort until the bad guys get here. I'm the only PC who isn't camping the arbiter. Nice to know all these guys with vermy cloaks on are pansy Lamers. Squeenix should confiscate cool gear from Lamers and Fatheads. They're just as detrimental to the game as RMT, IMO. -.-

At least RMT can say "It's my job to be a fathead."

What's these guys excuse? o.o
