Yesterday's chocobo race was even easier than the previous ones. This time it was against the Ambiguously Gay Trio again (I don't know how they stay so confident about beating me when I totally own them every time), with Pulunono (Windy's resident VCS lady) racing as well. The ABT had Foudeel riding this time instead of Wahboud. He used a Foulweather Frog to make it rain, but it didn't seem to help him beat anyone but Pulunono. :P Pulunono used a gysahl bomb, but both my chocobo and the ABT's resisted it. XD I, of course, did not use any items, and still won by a long shot. :P

So awhile back, Arthur invited me to join his ZNM LS (PhoenixDown), and gave me a pearl. They meet on Saturdays at 1PM EST. I missed joining them last week, as my sleep schedule at the time was all screwy, but yesterday I went. We took out Iriz Ima first (tier II, marid); he was a pushover. He only dropped his trophy item though. Next we tried Lividroot Amooshah (tier II, ameretat). That one was a disaster. Not only was he hard enough on his own, but some DDs aggroed nearby tigers, and at some point a Fomor Thief aggroed someone too. Things went completely to hell when we got the thing to its final form. The way this NM works is its health fills back up to 100% each time you kill it, a total of 3 times; after each time, it gets harder, and in the final form, it can use Extremely Bad Breath (aka Death breath). Well, he used EBB, and it killed most of the alliance somehow. People were saying that they even got killed by it while standing behind the thing, so maybe it's actually a short range AoE, I dunno. I know it didn't kill me when I was standing in front of it, but far enough away. We ended up having to die/logout/zone and wait for it to depop. After that we went to pop Wulgaru (tier I, acrolith). We killed him without much of a problem, and he gave us full drops. After him we tried popping Cheese Hoarder Gigiroon (tier I, Qiqirn). Unfortunately though, the first one we popped owned us even worse than Lividroot (I blame the lack of BLMs >.>; this guy needs to be manaburned/DoT kited). Thankfully that first pop wasn't mine, so I still have my pop item. From there we went to pop Ob (tier I, automaton). We kicked his ass in a matter of seconds. He dropped Guignol Earring, Coiler, and Eraser.

From there we went on to Arrapago Reef for Zareehkl the Jubilant (tier II, qutrub). This one was definitely the most fun. I had been WHM for all the previous ones, but at this point, another WHM joined us, and Arthur had me go WAR. We teleported out to the Ilrusi staging point, and since apparently someone did not have a way to sneak/invis themselves, we just killed everything in our path to the pop location. That alone was pretty fun, especially the Qutrubs. I was doing 2.4k+ every time with Raging Rush on them (2.8k+ on one of them :3). I love Qutrubs. XD Anyway, when we got to the pop spot and cleared it, we popped the NM, who proved quite easy. Numbers weren't quite as high on him, but that is to be expected, as he's like level 86 or so, compared to the level 73-74 Qutrubs. He didn't drop anything but his trophy item, unfortunately. After we killed him, I said we should kill Lamie No.8 (who was sitting near an Archaic Mirror right near the pop spot). I didn't expect they'd actually go for it, but sure enough, they went and nuked/sniped the mirror to death, which caused the mirror guardians and the NM to travel in a big circle to get to us. What followed was a very fun wipe. XD The NM and guards linked a regular lamia, and Qutrubs were repopping on top of us. We tried at least taking the NM down anyway. I took an Eagle Eye Shot to the face from her, which did 1200+ damage, but I survived with about 50 HP left, and someone cured me in time. The first person who died, though, caused Lamia No.19 to pop as well, who of course summoned her Skeleton bodyguards. From there it was just Rape City. XD And of course, since we were surrounded by undead, everyone had to HP. I still found it to be fun as hell, though. After all that, we went to Mamook to pop our last ZNM of the day, Chamrosh (tier I, colibri). Aside from some people getting lost on the way to the pop spot, it was fairly painless. He dropped a Dragoon's Earring.

With that all out of the way, I got a Retrace from someone and switched to THF to turn in a Pamama Tart I had cooked for Materiel Storm IV. The Quartermaster seriously has it out for me; she always makes me get items that no one sells on the AH that also aren't sold by NPCs. And yet I keep doing it, because it's such better experience than other, easier Ops (442 exp, to be exact). I flagged it again after that, but this time she asked for 6 Bataquiches. x.x This is probably the worst thing she can ask for. They are a shitty food item no one ever uses, because they only give a little AGI and a tiny amount of Ranged Accuracy, and are a total pain in the ass to make. One of the ingredients is a Batagreen Sautee, and Batagreens are exclusive. -.- They are sold by the Cooking Guild, but if the Guild for whatever reason is sold out, the only way to get them is by having the Sandy quest 'The Trader in the Forest' completed, at which point you can give 50 gil to an NPC in Ronfaure for some. I got some synthed once, but gathering the ingredients and getting someone to buy the batagreens themself and synth it for me (since it is a level 58 synth, and my cooking is only 32) is way too much of a pain in the ass. So this time, I just aborted the operation, and held back from strangling the Campaign Ops NPC as she was a total bitch about it. >.>; After that I had one tag left, so I just did Streetsweeper III. Then, before I logged for the night, I went and put my Demon Slayer on the AH. I need some gilz, and that thing sells for 500k. I don't play BLU too much anymore anyway, and if I do before I get a Beast Slayer, I can just offhand my Ifrit's Blade or something. I really wanna get a Mercurial Sword to play with as WAR/DNC. :P

Oh, I also forgot to mention! Arthur was sending me tells shortly before I logged, asking what I wanted from Experimental Lamia (since I had told him I was working towards getting a pop item for her). I told him I wanted the Mekki Shakki, and he said that since he was gonna be popping her with the item he got from Zareehkl, he'd let me have the staff, since he didn't want it. :D That thing is so sweet for WAR. We have 250 Staff skill, and yet we have not a single decent DD staff to use! Or we didn't until this baby got added. DMG:70 Delay:412 STR+5 Accuracy-4 Attack+12 Store TP+5. Mmmmm, sexy sexy. I'll be owning the hell out of blunt-weak things. :3 It also looks so awesome. XD
