So lately I decided I wanted to try out those new "monster" races, but I found out that you have to have won all of the old 'Official Races' first, before you can enter them. The first one was a one-on-one race with the Ambiguously Gay Trio (Bashraf, Foudeel, and Wahboud), in which I totally murdered them (of course). Yesterday was International Race I, where I had to race against a San d'Orian team. Alongside the announcer was Prince Pieuje, who apparently had raised one of the chocobos. Said chocobo (named NobleRose) was ridden by none other than Halver. XD It was an amusing race. Pieuje mentioned something about Halver not liking chocobos, but chocobos loving him, so they make him their jockey. And of course, when I won, Pieuje calmly said it would be a learning experience for Halver, after he'd recieved his lashes. XD I almost feel bad for Halver; he takes so much abuse. But then I remember how much of a dick he can be. :P Today (just a few minutes ago) I did International Race II, which this time was a Bastokan team. In this one, Cid was the guest, with his chocobo (InfinityXIII) being ridden by Naji. Cid mentioned that Naji has his own bird too, but he hadn't won a race with in in 3 years. XD There was also some random chocobo with a Galka jockey, who the announcer referred to as a "dark chocostalker." o.O;
Anyway, last night's Nyzul run was productive. On our first run, we got easy floors, and a Khimaira boss, but no drops. Our 2nd run, we got really crappy floors. The first one was 'Eliminate enemy leader', with Eriri Samariri as the leader. She's a Poroggo who likes to use Frog Song a lot. Our NIN got charmed and killed our WAR, then our DRK got charmed too. I hit Perfect Dodge to avoid having them kill me, but they took my shadows down before I hit it, and then the frog hit me with Fire IV, which killed me. x.x They got me and Nyc up, and Nyc smartly ran off way back behind the mages, while I hid back in a corner away from both the melees and the mages. Well, at some point, Eriri started casting Thundaga III, while the DRK was charmed again (so no Stun), and so the NIN tried to run out of range... and ran right to me, just as the spell went off, killing me again. x.x Well, we recovered from that floor anyway, and even managed to end up killing the boss (Hydra this time). And it dropped Askar hands! I won the lot, too. :3 Our third run, we had pretty bad luck. Not only did we hafta kill Roc on an 'Eliminate all enemies' floor (he's a huge time killer, since he has lots of HP and Benediction), but on the floor before the boss, we had 'Eliminate enemy leader', who was Long-Gunned Chariot. We had some deaths to him (we pretty much always do with a Chariot boss, and oftentimes even with non-boss Chariots), and then the boss we got on Floor 60 was Cerberus (the hardest of the 3, due to AoE paralyze and Stoneskin). We timed out on that one. Our 4th run went pretty smoothly though (we even got another Free Floor!), and we got another Hydra, who dropped another Askar hands! That pair got won by Nugo. Now we just need one more Askar hands (for Nycon), then we will be moving on to Floor 80! :D
As a sidenote, I suck at Gardening. x.x I missed 2 Darksdays in a row (for feeding my plants), so I'm gonna hafta just go for a different ore...
