Back to the beginning, Oh so long ago..

I wasnt always as good at FFXI as I am now. When i first started, almost 4 years ago, I made a hume on the Fairy server. I had gotten ffxi for christmas, and my stupid parents had to tell me that they did, which backfired on them cause I begged and begged till they let me hook it up. Finally, after 5 hours of the same rules you see everywhere, only copywrited by a different company, I agreed to the ToS. WHOO PoL Viewer. finally, after putting in my account info, I was able to move onto the character selection screen. Man, it took me forever to decide on what race I wanted to be.. galka.. for the vitality? Humes for the flexibility? Mithra.. whos animation i watched for a good 30 minutes I'll admit before moving on. Elvaan for the strength? no, i didnt really like the way any of them looked.. wasnt my style. Taru? nah... I finally settled on Hume.

Hmm.. now to decide on what i wanted to play... But, I had already set my mind on warrior. I always like to dish out heavy damage in the normal FF's as the main character.. As the first few minutes of WTF, HOW DO I PLAY set in and i started learning to controll my camera, and moving around i finally settled on heading out to kill mobs. A few levels later i decided i needed a greatsword, i always liked big swords... and i proceeded to ask someone 'where can i get a Greatsword?" to which they nonchallantly replied "At the AH" however they refused to elaborate what AH meant...

I finally found the auction house, still ignorant to the fact thats what the 'ah' was, and continued  to shout in sandoria for 2 weeks "Whats the AH?" and it seemed no one else knew, for no answers were forthcoming...

Finally, one fine lad happened by, and i begged him to tell me wth the AH was, and he pointed to the auction counter. yay, now 1 + 1 = 2, i felt so dumb. Anyways as luyck would have it, i had just hit lvl 20, and just gotten my SJ when.. yaaay were moving! so, i had to quit. for a year.
