Well today before heading off to campaign for a merit or two, I stopped by the chocobo stables. I'd been boycotting racing because of the stupidness of the Pashhow circuit and the fact that I'd capped out all other official races so there was nothing really to do.

However I have a new goal in mind: Buy bird dye and see if I can't make some cash that way. I dunno how well it sells and its not exactly 'cheap' as far as chocobucks go, but I'm seeing red dye sell for 80-100k in bazaars. So an extra 80k everytime I lazily manage to get 75 chocobucks isn't bad I figure. And if it doesn't sell then I'll just toss the dye to PureGold or PureAmber.

I was out of speed apples. And this taru chick that's always camping there and has insanely high prices on her goods was sitting by the choco stables. You can buy speed apples for 750 a pop in the choco circuit from NPCs. This chick was selling for 1.5k.

Pass.

She also sells her vomp carrots for 2k a piece. So I never buy from her. I'll wait around for the cheaper, elvaan bazaar mule to show up who sells hers for 800. Anyway, I didn't feel like paying over price and I didn't feel like going into the chocobo circuit, so I just decided to see how it would go without items.

Low and behold Jade places 2nd against Invincible Leg. Now that's funny... that's exactly what happens with speed apple.

2nd Free Run had StarOnion in it. Jade also placed 2nd.

Well 1st time's an accident, 2nd time's on purpose I always say. So I try a third race with no items. There were no super chocos in this one and Jade took home first place and 5 chocobuck reward.

Don't you just love it when you find out you've been wasting who knows how much money for who knows how long? 9.9; I had been giving her a speed apple during the races. Well, I guess its good to know free runs won't cost me 750+race fee now. That makes me feel a little better. PureJade is on day 77. She has about what.. 50 days left before auto retire. She's been a good birdie and I had fun with it, but apparently a stupid, fast bird is not going to do so well on Pashhow Circuit. At least not unless someone knows how to combat monsters that spam speed up abilities....

It's just frustrating when I think about it, so I try not to. :3 No real point in updating the chocobo bulletin anymore, though since I'm not racing for moneys.

Been on a helping people out shtick lately. What's annoying is that I seriously doubt if Sati or I end up needing help with anything, that these people I've taken time to help will be available or willing to help. Even though they always say "If you need anything let me know!"

Doubt?

Who am I kidding. I -know- they won't. Or else we wouldn't still be PFC. We wouldn't still be on ToAU29. We wouldn't be trying to come up with Duo strategies for things that really can't be duo'd.

So let's see. I helped a fellow get 50 cap items just cause he asked. He was on my friend list but I honestly don't remember why. He only up and started talking to me when he asked for that. Simlarly, another person who's been on my friend list ever since we did a few pirate chart fights, but hasn't really talked to me since I stopped putting on their LS, up and congratulated me on getting DRG75.

I got DRG75 months ago >.>;

He follows by asking for my help getting Radiant Breath for his BLU. 9.9;

But I go. Because it's what Sati would do. Yep, that's what I told myself. Sati is always helping people. He goes out of his way to do it too even if he has something else to do. That's why it pisses me off so bad when he ends up doing without things and at the bottom of lists. Heck I'm wanting him to get his Relic gear more than he wants to get it, because he deserves at least that.

I could fill this blog up with how many times he's dropped what he's doing to go give someone a Raise halfway across the planet when he wasn't even on a job that could Raise. That's the kind of guy he is.

So I helped with 50 cap, I helped with the Blu spell (even though it took over FIVE HOURS to get because some of the other Blus who wanted it brought some Drama Llama and Noob attitudes with them). I also helped some poor WAR dude who had like no gear get some gear for his 27WAR. When I checked today, he had PLD30. And he hadn't even unlocked the job yet a few days ago when I helped him. He was wearing the gear I got him. So it makes me happy to know he at least genuinely needed the gear and wasn't just scamming.

So...that's what's happened this weekend.

We help people. But when we need help, no one is around. No one is available. Everyone's too busy.

It's really frustrating.

Oh and to top it off, last night in Campaign, this underleveled WAR/NIN (I guess? He was wearing RK chainmail and had 2 swords but was anon), caught agro from a lady bug in Ronfaure (S) by the arbiter. I was sticking around cause we were SO close to taking Ronfaure back, so I wanted to do battles there.

I wasn't really paying much attention, but I was resting mp, and I caught resting agro from one and took it out, Then noticed that guy was fighting one. When I targetted him he was at half life. I thought, maybe he's NIN/DNC and gonna heal himself but he didn't. When he got to 20 percent I tossed him a C3. Me on DRG/WHM that takes a good chunk of mp. I SS up and rest because now I'm tanking for him, and instead of fighting it, he tries to run away >.>;

But for some reason it hates on him again and he stops running to fight. I end up having to cure him again. He finally kills the sucker. And I don't even get a thank you. Another agros him when it spawns and he runs it by me (its still yellow) But he didn't ask for help, didn't say a word. So I didn't attack it. He eventually does attack it and it starts beating him up again. I was gonna heal him again, but then he uses a auto-warp scroll.

Still no thank you for saving his stupid life.

Sometimes that's all you really want... yanno? And it'd be nice to have a little help with a BC or Mission fight or Assault now and then...
