Welcome to the first edition of Silent's Saga, the adventure log of yours truly, Silentlucidity of the Ifrit server. This will be a blog regularly updated on me, my travels, observations, and general thoughts on life in Vana'diel, so please let me know what you think! I will also keep everyone up to do with my recent accomplishments, so let's begin there shall we?
Recent Accomplishments:
Got DRG to 68, catching up to my cousins Shasta and Weylin. And about time too!
Sold one of my 2 astral rings, making a quick 150k. I no longer needed it now that I can equip an Ether ring.
Killed NM Mysticmaker Profblix, was trying to help a fellow LS member with the drop. However it didn't give us the Moldavite Earring we were hoping for.
And just to get this out of the way next...
Goals:
Get WAR to 37, and make it my new main party sub for DRG.
Sell my other Astral ring, I need money!
Aquire a Dragoon's Testimony, and continue my levelling on DRG.
So now that all the formal stuff is out of the way, let's have some fun with this. And I wanted to start this section with a point I find very obvious as of the past couple days. Fomors SUCK! To those of you who are gifted with not knowing these guys, they are essentially zombie adventurers, ready to kill in the areas around Aht Urhgan. And when you aren't looking, they can sneak up and aggro you in no time.
Right now one of my favorite places to solo is Wajoam Woodlands. The Lesser Colibri there makes for a decent source of xp, without too much downtime. However, once night falls, the fomors enter the area. And no matter how hard I try to avoid them, one of these living dead will sneak up and destroy me. Before I know it, whatever experience I had gained is gone, and then some usually. Because of this, I often find myself coming out of the woodlands with a negative result.
I'm afraid it's time to finally leave Aht Urhgan as a solid source of solo play. Because it's getting me nowhere quick. For now, I'll stick to campaign and beseiged until I can find a new place for me and Firewing to spend quality time roasting some monsters.
Changing gears for a sec. I've spent the last several months working on DRG alone, occasionally working on WHM. In fact, I don't think I've touched any other job this year besides those two. So in a very, very sick way, I'm beginning to miss the dunes. I know, disgusting ain't it? But I think it's time to return to the lower levelled end of things. Back to a simpler time.
And I'll do that through a job I hven't levelled seriously in years. A job I haven't touched since I began my life on Vana'diel. But a job I called my favorite for the first year. Warrior.
I'm looking forward to getting back into the basic mechanics that I learned the game with. Perhaps getting back to my once main occupation will bring back the memories of the world I was in then.
That's all for this saga folks. In the next few editions, I will touch on my history in Vana'diel, as well as a piece I wrote during some time away from the world in the Sanctuary of Zi'Tah. Until then, my fellow adventurers.
