ABOUT ME
-I play as 'myself' in the world of Vana'diel, on Fenrir Server. Meaning, I'm a hume, and the character is supposed to represent ME, not something I wish I were (like people who play as other races, no offense to everyone). I say this because people questioned WHY I play a hume, and not, say.. an Elvaan or Taru.
-I am leader of a linkshell known as "Theater Vancoor" (cookies to those who know where it originates from), that's kind of still brand-new. I love my LS, and though similar to many in the sense that it has its ups and downs.. they do give me more reason to stay on FFXI. They are my in-game family, basically, and they are AWESOME!
-My main job is DRG (sitting at 75), with BLU (LV69) being my second main, and finally PLD (retired at 60). I kind of want to LV up WAR next, or maybe even MNK.. but I don't know, I think 3 75 jobs is enough.
-I do have an alt character-- A Mithra named Rinslet. No, I don't go around masquerading as a female. She's simply supposed to be my mage-only character, but she's also taking up COR and PUP.
-I'm one of those people who say they help people, and DO, help people, as long as I'm actually capable of it. Sometimes I get a bit carried away and end up spending more time helping others, that it takes away "me" time for myself.
Thousand Arms was basically the Dating-RPG that lead to games like Atelier Iris, Ar Tonelico, and various Dating-RPGs like that. They are great.
Wild Arms.. I believe you can get the remake of 1 on PsP, and the original of 1 on PS3. I might do that.
I've seen those games and for whatever reason have still yet to try them out. Guess I'm missing out; I actually still have my Wild Arms, luckily, although who knows how long it will still work for ..lol
Oh yeah, definitely. I know exactly how you feel about that. I'm not sure if I should be happy that my "fire" is still burning, but I do enjoy games just as much as I did when I was a lot younger.
lol You also have to take into account our ages. When I was your age my fire was burning fiercely, but when you get to my age your flame may temper somewhat. It has a lot to do with my schedule also. If I could sit around and play games for as long as I want whenever I wanted to I'm sure I'd be the same as I was, but the real world waits for no one. -.-
Remember the original Wild Arms on PS1? I found the theme song as well as the whole soundtrack the other day. lol Super excited, but I couldn't think of anyone else who would care about such geek nostalgia. lol
I actually never got to play it, despite how cool the game looked when it came out. Thousand Arms I wanted to play too, but never got to play it ><
I actually played it years after it came out, which was still a long time ago, and the graphics were so dated for the time that it was hard to get into initially, but the gameplay's still fun and the story gets involving afetr awhile. It was just really western styled, so it was a newer experience with RPGs for me. lol I've never even heard of Thousand Arms, wonder what I missed out on. D:
I first started in EB Games, and everyone I worked with knew a lot about things in different areas. Like, I knew more about Nintendo and Sony, one knew more about PC, one knew a lot about 360, etc etc. When I switched to GameStop (due to change of residence), everyone was 360-onry and didn't know crap when customers came in. It was annoying when /I/ was the only one who knew anything, and it was my JOB.
Well, I'm prolly less of a gamer than I used to be. I used to frequent a Software Etc when I was younger, and there was 1 single guy who knew anything about games. Thankfully, he was the manager. We talked a lot and got to know each other over time, and I got some really schweet deals. ~.^ Back in those days (circa Dreamcast to PS2 launch) I pretty much had anything made by Nintendo and Sega (I had a Playstation as well, but hated Sony). I miss those days a lot, but I don't think I could ever go back. Real life just kinda sneaks up and clubs you over the head one day. I still luv games a lot and prolly always will, but I don't have the fire I once had. Ya know?
